An empanada is a type of baked or fried turnover consisting of pastry and filling, common in Southern European, Latin American, and Filipino cultures. The name comes from the Spanish verb empanar, and translates as “enbreaded”, which means wrapped or coated in bread. Our Jack Asada Empanadas and Ground Beef’less Empanadas are delicious, healthy and meat-free versions of the traditional empanada.
